I spent two days watching the <Apprentice>, 5th season. Several changes have been made compared with the 2nd season and the first one -- 3rd and 4th are yet to watch. Trump's daughter -- Ivanka ,a charming lady,  debuted as one judge replacing the Caroline's role in several episodes. The PM is no longer previlidged to have an extra round without being fired , if his team wins.18 candidates seem to have more shining business experiences and better training or education.  I remember very well the guy called Lee, his GPA was 4.0 in Cornell University. 

The episode which did attract me was the 13th. In that episode, only 4 brightest candidates, 2 men and 2 women, were left and assigned to design a new series of uniforms for Hotel Swiss. Quite a co-incidence, men vesus women. Lee, Sean , two men strategically consulted the manager about the evaluation criterions  and the judges. The secret they got was the final judgement would be done by all the employees! Their work was pretty simple,consulted the employees of all the working types and gave out the modification plan for the current uniforms. On the other side, women seemed to have more talents in fashion , however, this time functionality was placed upon the fashion and innovativeness. Very clearly, the result was that ladies' team lost. 

It seemed that this one was nothing more than ordinary as other episodes. I had no special feeling about it until I saw the scene in the boardroom. Two women were very close friends in the past three months, the closest pair Mr.Trump had seen ever in Apprentice programs. One will be fired , one will remain. To defend and survive, they started attacking with each other, fiercely but desparately. Just when I still was puzzled about who was gonna be fired. Mr. Trump gave his comments.

"You know what I think it is. Here are two women that really like each other. But they lose. Losing is a terrible teriible thing. And because you lost...  when you lose, your whole world just changes.  I really am disappointed that both of you walk into this room as close friends and you start attacking each other. I am really disappointed, in all of the boardrooms I had, I'v never seen two people that were closer than you two people. I've never seen it. And then, at the end, what do you do ? You attack each other. Unbelievable ! Roxxan, Alle, you are both fired ! "

The result Trump made was just as unbelievable as these two girls' actions. If I was in that situation, I just don't know what will be the better way than  defending myself and attacking my close friend. Like Alle said in the taxi , "There is no way that we could both come out of the boardroom without being fired. At that point, you have to start defending yourself by doing that. You have to sometimes say some less than positive things about the other person. But we didn't do by attacking each other's characters. So, I think we are both proud about the fact that we can walk out of there with our dignity, with our integrity and with our friendship. " What a good lesson.

 最近两天的生活,质量不高,但有规律,心情就显得愉悦, 所以我想形容生活的步调就是一个perfect rhythm...

 下午也把困扰多时的毕业论文选题给搞定了,还是继续搞我心爱的Simulink,多谢张Sir ! 但今天也知道了一个不好的消息,原来活佛回家是因为家里母亲重病了, 希望顺利吧.

 前天听说大有获得IIT半奖,再次恭喜一下! 又想到新华字典的那句 "..... 大家都有美好的前途". 今天金Worker问我以后做什么,我说是出国,他居然冒了一句"哦,去欧洲不需要洗碗的"..偶汗... 难不成我得安慰下,幸亏没打算去美国,否则得去洗碗了???

上星期六去上了法语外教口语班,爽啊,难度果然提升不少,语速加快,解释减少,我获得的直接效果就是,听不懂的部分显著增加... 受这刺激,本周偶对学法语的热情突飞猛进,每天必定花一个多小时读学法语,图书馆已经借来了单词书和语法训练书,再加一周必不少的口语训练,和时不时的听力训练.偶的既定目标是:突破今年六月份的法语四级考试! 

最近还重新开始玩了QQ游戏,惊奇发现自己的对对碰原来是宝石级别的,想想上一次玩这东西还是在一两年前了...

最后公布放假后的初步行程:

暂时和PB前往湖南玩,游了张家界和凤凰后有可能进入黔东南或桂北,具体路线灵活变通. 为此,已经购买了3折机票和一些必要装备,有经验者给一些旅行建议. Merci Beaucoup!
